What is Productathon?

Productathon is a platform that helps students to discover and level their ideas into a startup. Students can share and discuss new products in a variety of categories such as technology, design, and more. It is a hackathon-style event that focuses on creating and developing new products.

How it goes?

PHASE 1: Knowledge

• A batch of 15 teams, where each team has participants of 3-5 are chosen after the initial filtration procedures.
• There are two sectors to the program, cloud computing, and IoT. The chosen students will be trained to convert their concepts into a finished product. Three courses, PM 1o1 (Product Management Fundamentals), Foundation of IoT by CISCO, and Google Cloud's Foundation for Cloud Computing from Future Skills Prime will be provided to the students to train them.
• A week is allotted for the chosen participants to study the course content
• During this time, Makergram will offer live mentoring through a platform created just for them. Furthermore, there will be two in-person mentoring sessions at this time

PHASE 2: Experiencing

Following course completion, students will participate in a 24-hour offline hackathon to build their working model conducted at TKM College of Engineering, Kollam on 29th April 2023. Cloud computing and IoT will remain the theme of ideation GDG Cloud Kochi and Makergram will lead the hackathons in cloud computing and the Internet of Things, respectively.

PHASE 3: Entrepreneurship

The top 5 teams will be selected for the next phase, where the winning teams will be provided with mentoring to develop their working model into an MVP and then into a full-fledged product startup.

What does the winner get?

The winning team will be incubated under NASSCOM along with the 5 other teams and also receive a cash prize of 10k. All the winning team members will also get exciting swags and goodies.

Rules & Guidelines

• The event is open to all undergraduates irrespective of the course of study.
• This is a team event. Each team should have 3-5 members.
• Only the team leader is required to submit the form.
